TIMEX GROUP - Hoejsgaard leaves

Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, who has been Timex president and chief executive officer since February 2008, has left the company.

Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard's departure was confirmed on Jan. 19 by reliable sources at Time Group. No other details were immediately available.


Timex Group B.V., one of the world’s largest and best-known watch companies, is headquartered in Middlebury, Connecticut, in the USA, the country where it began in the 1850s. It has operations in 20 countries, sales in more than 100, and about 5,000 employees worldwide. Its brands range from popular-priced to luxury, and include Timex, Versace, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Guess, Gc, Vincent Bérard, Versus, TX, Marc Ecko, Nautica and Opex.

During his 25-year career, prior to Timex Group, he was president and CEO of Danish silversmith Georg Jensen Ltd., which he made into a global luxury jewelry and watch company; president of Lancaster Group Worldwide, the fragrance and cosmetics division of Coty Inc.; and managing director and CEO of Guerlain Asia-Pacific.
