The luxury Swiss watchbrand goes full throttle with new TAG Heuer Formula 1 timepieces developed and tested by TAG Heuer’s peerless team of F1 ambassadors

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Series: Timekeeping talismans of TAG Heuer’s unrivalled F1 legacy.

The newest members of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Series not only inherit the formidable timing technology and expertise TAG Heuer has accumulated over decades of intense F1 involvement. They also benefit from the hands-on input of their hard-driving F1 Ambassadors.

Like its illustrious predecessors, the new TAG Heuer Formula 1s come fully loaded with the famous TAG Heuer Six features : “Easy Grip” crown; scratch-resistant titanium carbide-coated unidirectional turning steel bezel with raised fine-brushed figures; water-resistance to 200 meters; luminescent index and hands; scratch-resistant sapphire crystal; bracelet with double safety clasp and extension.

Sporty and casual, supercharged with track-ready features, cutting-edge components and upscale finishings, these are the perfect introductions to the TAG Heuer’s motor-racing legend.

TAG Heuer holds the record for a stunning number of motor-racing firsts.

The legendary Swiss watch brand, the world leader in sports-focused luxury timepieces since 1860, was the first to develop dashboard chronographs for sports cars, sponsor an F1 driver, partner with an F1 team, master 1/10th, 1/100th, 1/1,000th and 1/10,000th of a second, and finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the F1 World Championship.

Past, present and future, the TAG Heuer brand is a dominating presence in every motor-racing discipline, from the 24 Hours of Le Mans to the Indianapolis 500 to this year’s season-capping Race of Champions. Nowhere, however, is its preeminence more apparent – and more richly awarded – than in the high-octane world of Formula One Grand Prix.

For a quarter century, TAG Heuer has partnered with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in one of the most successful alliances in professional sport – a dynasty that has garnered 6 FIA World Drivers’ Championships and 9 FIA F1 World Constructors’Championships.

That prestigious legacy was prefaced by another: as Official Timekeeper for the legendary Scuderia Ferrari in the 1970s, TAG Heuer was a key player in three F1 World Drivers’ Championship titles and four F1 World Constructors’ titles. And from 1992 to 2003, TAG Heuer fulfilled the same official timekeeper role for the entire FIA F1 World Championship season, just as it later did for the Indy Series and the Race of Champions.

TAG Heuer’s partnerships with F1 drivers is without equal.

The brand’s first ambassador was Jo Siffert, back in 1969 – the same year TAG Heuer partnered with Le Mans screen legend Steve McQueen. Since then, a peerless constellation of F1 stars has joined the TAG Heuer team, including Juan-Manuel Fangio, Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni, Mario Andretti, Niki Lauda, Jody Scheckter, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard and Fernando Alonso.

Today, the TAG Heuer commitment to F1 excellence continues.

TAG Heuer’s current dream team of F1 ambassadors are Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver and 2007 F1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen and, at the head of the pack, Lewis Hamilton, the 2008 F1 World Champion. Worthy bearers of the TAG Heuer mantle, they relentlessly pursue perfection, both on the track and in the award-winning R&D labs of TAG Heuer.
