Hollywood, California, November 9th, 2009 – The 7th Annual Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards celebrated last night the achievement of filmmakers through their extraordinary work behind the scenes. The award ceremony, organized in collaboration with Movieline, gathered together the most outstanding talents in the industry this year. The honorees from ten specific categories could share their experience working with their peers and highlighted some special moments during filming. "I don't feel like a "behind the scenes" worker. I rather see the other behind my costumes", said Anna Roth, costume designer.
"This event pays tribute to talent, skill and dedication," said Matthias Breschan, Hamilton President. “Hamilton has been working with the Hollywood community for almost 50 years and is delighted today to have the opportunity to create its own list of credits through this ceremony. It is also great to see that those in front of both the camera and the screen evidently share our admiration for the winners’ work!”
The honorees were selected from movies released in 2009 and/or presented at the prestigious festivals of Cannes, Toronto and Venice and the Festival of the American Film Institute.

* Stunt Choreographer: Garrett Warren, Avatar and A Christmas Carol
* Special Visual Effects: Susan MacLeod, The Twilight Saga: New Moon
* Lifetime Achievement Award: Sally Menke
Leading actors, actresses and other movie professionals were there to present the awards to their favorite filmmakers. Chistoph Walz presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to film editor, Sally Menke, with a special taped message from Quentin Tarantino. Other presenters included Diane Kruger, Bill Paxton, Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel and Jason Bateman paid tribute to the behind the scenes talents.
