Defy Xtreme Grande Date - Stealth

The Defy Stealth is inspired by the Stealth Bombers that no radar can detect

Inspired by the Stealth Bombers that no radar can detect, the Defy Stealth did not in fact go unnoticed when it took the Public Award at the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie in Geneva. This year, ZENITH is pushing the boundaries even further, and presenting a new, even more extreme version. Cased entirely in black or grey titanium, this timepiece features an unexpectedly sporty design picked out in extreme colours, a matte red that highlights the balance-wheel bridge and the helical hand of the 30-minute counter.

Incorporating shock-resistant technology and Zenithium bridges, the Defy Stealth includes the new Open Grande Date 4039 SX movement and an El Primero Chronograph with a 3-disk Grande Date, a unique, patented system. Offered as a limited edition of 250 pieces in each colour, this futuristic timepiece cannot leave anyone unmoved.

Defy 2008 “Whatever does not destroy me makes me stronger”

Playing the sportiness card boldly and elegantly, the Defy collection entered the Zenith galaxy like a shooting star. This avant-garde timepiece, all power, stands for luxury and good taste but also for strength and longevity. The Classic/Xtreme duality forms a backdrop to the thrilling lifestyle it conjures up - summer cruises on yachts in the Caribbean or outboard motorboat races, round the world trips in private jets or piloting a stealth plane, exhilarating escapades at the wheel of a sports car or careering around in racing cars… No doubt about it, the Defy collection embodies what is best about water sports, planes and cars !

With Defy, Zenith started a veritable revolution in which creativity and performance are intimately linked. Defy Classic elevates the sports watch to the nobility. The muscular chassis, athletic build, starry bezel and the guilloche dial and bracelet links form a high-profile whole that expresses a virile refinement. Defy Xtreme conjugates the future with the present. This watch, in its reinforced power case that is ultra-shock-resistant and designed to cope with the most extreme situations, can take extravagant combinations of effect and material. Nothing is too daring!

The principal event of 2008 is the arrival of the 8800 Tourbillon Zero-G (zero gravity) movement, a major innovation in the world of watchmaking. This revolutionary system, which includes a gyroscope cage tourbillon and constant horizontal escapement, means the mechanism avoids the effects of gravity and thus gives considerably greater accuracy.

At the same time, Defy Classic and Defy Xtreme are heading for the open with the SEA ranges that have a distinctly nautical look, unveiling the first of a three-part limited edition.

Finally, Defy Classic has put three new complications into all-gold cases whilst Defy Xtreme creates a surprise effect with an even more audacious version of the Stealth watch.

Incorporating a new generation of ultra-high performance calibers and made of innovative materials such as Zenithium, this complete range will ensure new competitive success for the Defy collection.
